Although I stopped playing for my chess club Van der Linde I still like the game very much. The reason that I decided not play in the club competition anymore is that I than have to play midweek evenings. I cant combine this with my work.

Some years ago I played a nice game for my team. I was white and the game went as follows:

I like to read and I'm interested in playing with language. Sometimes this results in stupid "word-jokes" with which I annoy my listeners.

 

From the last books I've read 'De dochter van de circusdirecteur', the latest book from Jostein Gaarder, made a big impression on me (like all his work). More favorite authors are:

 

 

 

I like to travel and visit other countries and cultures. This is an activity that I cannot do as much as I want and have done in the past.

 

 

 

This game I learned when I was about 20, but after a few years of playing some tournaments, most of the times in a partnership with Peter and sometimes with Bert, I stopped. But some months ago Bert and me decided to give it another try and we started to play regularly at a bridge club. orthe forthcoming time our goal is to improve our bidding system and hopefully with that our results.
